Room 7 decided to make Anzac biscuits for Anzac day. They did it in steps.
The first step was to fill a half a cup of flour and put it in a bowl.
Then they filled a half a cup of sugar and put it in the bowl too.
Then ¾ of a cup of rolled oats. They put ¾ of a cup of coconut in the bowl too. Then they cut 50 grams of butter and they put it in a pot. Next they added one tablespoon of golden syrup with the butter. They melted the butter with the golden syrup and they mixed it.
They put ½ a teaspoon of baking soda and 2 tablespoons of boiling water in a cup . Then the mixture started to foam up. Then they put all of that with the butter and the golden syrup.
Next they mixed the flour, sugar, rolled oats and the coconut in the bowl. They poured the liquid mixture into the flour and other dry ingredients and then Eken and Poppy mixed it up.
They put baking paper on the tray. Then they got a tablespoon and put it in there hands and they made them into little balls and put them on the tray. They put them four centimetres apart and put them in the oven for about ten minutes and they looked amazing - well some of them did.
